Plenty of people want something better. They’re trying to change their lives, find a passion, all that. But plenty of people also never get what they want. They never faced their fears, never discovered what was really possible.

There’s a Ralph Emerson quote that sums up our needs perfectly. “Always do what you are afraid to do.”

Learn to fight for what you want. At the very least, grab some Scotch and join me for a quick chat. I think it will do you some good.

Enjoy,

Chris

What’s with all the defending yourself for liking KISS? Sure they aren’t a progressive jazz metal core band… they are simple and great. They existed for one goal… money and girls. Not for being the most talented. As a result, they won, many times over.

Anywhos, great post Chris. Just enjoy the music, whether it’s snobby or mainstream top 100. If you like it, you like it. Just make sure you like it, and it’s not a case of someone telling you to like it (most top 100 crap).

Important P.S.! This quote came to mind while listening:

“Let me tell you about scared. Your heart is beating so hard I can feel it through your hands. There’s so much blood and oxygen pumping through your brain it’s like rocket fuel. Right now you could run faster and you can fight harder. You can jump higher than ever in your life and you are so alert it’s like you can slow down time.
What’s wrong with scared? Scared is a superpower! Your superpower! There is danger in this room. And guess what? It’s you.”
